Your organisation's IT.Define it once and OrganicOS applies it everywhere.

OrganicOS brings mail, files, chat, VPN, and a workspace for each person onto your server. Choose apps from the marketplace, set access in the dashboard, and the server and each workspace update to match. Hosted on the OrganicOS.io EU cloud.

What is OrganicOS?

OrganicOS is a declarative IT platform for European SMEs (roughly 5–50 people): one configuration for your organisation, one server, a workspace for each person.

OrganicOS.io is the managed serviceEU cloud hosting, updates, and day-to-day operation when you choose not to run the stack yourself.

One place instead of five admin panels

Most teams run mail, files, and VPN as separate services. Each has its own admin login. Over time, nobody has a full picture of who can access what.

OrganicOS keeps people, apps, and access together. Change something in the dashboard and the server applies the change. What runs matches what you configured.

Apps from the marketplace

Start with mail, files, chat, git, passwords, and VPN. Add more from a curated catalog of open source apps, each pre-integrated with sign-in and the rest of your stack. Enable an app in the dashboard and it deploys to your server.

Best IT practices, built in

One configuration

People, apps, and access in one place.

When people join or leave

Add or remove someone once; access updates everywhere it applies.

Company and personal kept apart

Company data stays in the workspace on your server.

Backups and encryption

Included in the default server setup.

The same for five people or fifty.

Compliance and evidence

Security and compliance are included from the start.

OrganicOS helps European SMEs meet GDPR and NIS2 technical requirements:

  • Encrypted transport and backups
  • Single sign-on and private access to internal apps
  • Audit logs and a signed configuration you can review or roll back

Compliance reports in the dashboard show what is configured and what is runningevidence from the live system.

How OrganicOS works

Set up

Add people, choose apps from the marketplace, set access in the dashboard.

Run

Your server stays aligned with that setup.

Workspace

Each person gets mail, files, chat, and VPN on an organisation device or a USB boot.

Update

Someone joins or leaves, or you enable a new app; change it once and the server follows.

Company data stays on your server, separate from personal files on the device.

Platform components
Blueprint
The organisation's configuration in Git: people, enabled apps, access rules. Your organisation holds the repository. Changes are signed commits.
Server
A NixOS host running identity, mail, files, chat, VPN, git, backups, and the services the Blueprint enables. On the OrganicOS.io EU cloud, on dedicated hardware we provide, or on EU hardware you supply.
Agent
Software on the server that pulls the Blueprint, checks signatures, and applies the configuration. The running system must match the Blueprint or the update fails.
Dashboard
The admin interface at organicos.io: people, apps, marketplace, compliance reports. Changes are written to the Blueprint as signed commits.
Workspace
A personal environment on an organisation device or USB. Apps, VPN, and sign-in are already configured.

Server and workspace templates are open source (AGPL). Hosting, updates, and day-to-day operation are what OrganicOS.io provides when you use the managed service.

Where it runs, what it costs

EU cloud

€20/ month

Virtual server on the OrganicOS.io EU cloud.

Dedicated

from €60/ month

We provide the machine.

Your own server

BYO

EU hardware you supply; OrganicOS.io connects and operates the stack.

All OrganicOS.io hosting runs in the EU. Backups, encryption, and access rules are included by default. The server software is open source (AGPL).

€10 per person per month, plus server hosting

No per-person charge for the first six months while we are in early use. You still pay for the server.

Example: 12 people on an EU cloud server — €120 + €20 = €140 per month after that.

OrganicOS is in use with a growing number of organisations. We help with the first server setup and stay close while the dashboard and marketplace grow. If something you need is not ready yet, ask and we will say so.
